The liner notes include lyrics and suggested actions, and
instrumental tracks of the featured songs are offered for
singing along karaoke-style. Plenty of wordplay, some fun
sound effects, and Dines' magical voice are featured in the
excellent Hunk-ta Bunk-ta series of recordings, and this one
is no exception. It's definitely most appropriate for the
very young, but parents won't find anything irritating about
the album nevertheless.
These
original songs stir the imagination and encourage family
participation. A couple familiar songs are clever
adaptations of traditional songs ("Row Row Row Your
Baby" and "Pat-A-Cake"). There's plenty of
whimsy, and some sentimentality tucked into the mix as well.
Parents and caregivers will be delighted with this
collection of activity songs that help develop motor and
language skills.
