In The
Cribling, a new sibling bemoans the attention his new
baby brother is getting from his parents, and after he cries
"My mother hugs him more than me!", children call
out "Your mother still loves you!". Story songs
include topics such as the frustrations of chicken pox
("a nasty scratchy birdie/but it won't make you grow
feathers"), an ode to apples and freedom, and the story
of a lonely and talented young girl. Shel Silverstein's The
Unicorn and the rousing Cat Stevens' Peace Train
are included, while the remainder of the recording features
Zak Morgan originals.
The
ample CD insert is as colorful and imaginative as the
recording: full lyrics, illustrations, and even an
"unabridged dictionary" that covers some of the
fun words used in the recording, are all here.
Witty
and wordy, this recording is sure to capture the imagination
of children of all ages.
