Product Overview
Baby Songs is a video series aimed at babies,
toddlers, and preschoolers, featuring the highly interactive and appealing songs
of Hap Palmer. This version, Play Along Songs, is designed for children
as young as infants and features songs all about what happens in a child's day.
Baby Songs
videos are totally mesmerizing for young children. But they
go beyond attention-grabbing they are interactive. Hap Palmer's songs
are superb they are easygoing, yet fun, and they encourage kids to participate.
In fact, our kid testers all were singing along, even dancing. Never did we
see kids simply glued to the set as is often the case with many children's videos.
This video is just over 30 minutes long and is live-action. Short animated
clips introduce each music video. Play Along Songs opens with the familiar
Just Fun which celebrates children jumping and rolling just for the heck
of it! "Simple things can be so fine" sings Palmer, and viewers watch
as kids express their happiness through simple body movements. In The Mice
Go Marching a new version of The Ants Go Marching kids
play-act the song that tells the story of some mice and a monster. Children
with big colorful sweatshirts represent the different colors in the music video
Parade of Colors, and children love following along in Put your Hands
Up in the Air, as they touch their toes, turn around, jump up and down,
and more.
As always, some early learning concepts are included in all the fun. Days
of the week are sung in a rap song, hands are distinguished between right and
left, colors are playfully introduced, and more.
It's important to note that many of the songs in this video were first released
in Baby Songs Follow Along. This video features new animations in between
music sequences and two all-new Hap Palmer songs.
Dollar Value
This video sells for $12.98 US, and is well worth the
investment.
The Bottom Line
This fun live-action video features positive, warm,
and encouraging songs that young children will thoroughly enjoy. Kids will enjoy
this video that encourages them to participate by jumping, dancing, and singing
along. Basic concepts are presented in an appealing musical format.
